Blackberry Barbecue Sauce

1 c. DICKINSON’S® Pure Seedless Marion Blackberry Preserves
1/2 c. Lemon Juice 1/2 c. CRISCO® Pure Olive Oil 2-3 Garlic Gloves, crushed 1/2 c. Red Wine Vinegar 1/2 tsp. Onion Powder 4-6 (4-6 oz. pieces) Chicken Breasts, Beef or Pork Tenderloin Optional: 1/4 c. Blackberries, fresh or frozen, thawed
Marinate your meat in a mixture of 1/2 c. lemon juice, 1/2 c. oil and crushed garlic for 6-24 hours before grilling. Heat grill. In a saucepan, combine preserves, vinegar and onion powder. Cook over medium heat until preserves are liquid, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Grill meat until almost done, brush with sauce. To serve, pour remaining sauce over meat and garnish with optional fruit. Makes 4-6 servings.
